Flat Plate Connection Sleeve
Flat Plate Connection Sleeve
Precast Concrete Embedded Fastener Product Brochure
1. Product Introduction
Flat Plate Connection Sleeve (Also known as Embedded Flat Base Sleeve or Weld Embedded Part) is an indispensable core fastening component in Precast Concrete (PC) elements. This product is typically made of high-strength seamless steel tubes precisely welded with Q235B carbon steel base plates (or embedment plates), featuring a surface treatment of Hot-dip Galvanizing or Electro-galvanizing for corrosion resistance.
During the manufacturing of precast components, it is accurately pre-embedded in the formwork. The exposed cylindrical stud/post, combined with the internal threaded hole, provides a highly stable mechanical connection point for adjacent precast wall panels or enables rapid clamping with steel formwork systems on-site. With its evenly distributed stress and high pull-out resistance, it serves as the"invisible joint"for modern industrialized and modular construction.

3. Installation & Usage Instructions
3.1 Factory Pre-embedding
At the precast plant, secure the base of the sleeve in the pre-drilled holes on the mold (typically aluminum or steel formwork) using dedicated magnetic seats or tie wires. Ensure the stud is perfectly perpendicular to the panel surface.
3.2 Concrete Pouring
Proceed with normal rebar tying and concrete pouring. Once cured, the sleeve will be firmly anchored to the concrete surface, forming a robust base.
3.3 On-site Connection
Panel-to-Panel Connection
After positioning the adjacent wall panels with a crane, insert high-strength bolts or through-bolts rods through the internal threads of the connecting sleeves on both panels, and tighten with nuts to achieve a rigid connection of the shear wall.
Formwork Fixation
Serve as a connection point for tie rods or support points for the formwork system, cooperating with steel scaffolding to resist lateral pressure during concrete pouring.
4. Applications & Precautions
4.1 Applications
- Connection of splicing joints in precast concrete shear wall panels (interior/exterior walls)
- Temporary or permanent connections for precast stairs and composite floor slabs to the main structure
- Tie rod and support systems for steel formwork on precast construction sites
- Adaptor connections between curtain wall steel structures and precast concrete bases
4.2 Precautions
- Precise Positioning: During pre-embedding, dedicated positioning molds must be used to prevent displacement of the sleeves during concrete vibration, ensuring installation accuracy.
- Anti-blocking & Cleaning: In harsh site environments, it is recommended to fit plastic protective caps (dust caps) on the top of the studs to prevent concrete slurry or debris from entering the threaded holes.
- Load Capacity Verification: Overloading is strictly prohibited. During the project design phase, the pull-out and shear capacity of each sleeve must be calculated by a structural engineer in accordance with the Technical Specification for Precast Concrete Structures.
- Corrosion Protection: In coastal high-salt fog or chemical corrosion environments, upgrading to Hot-dip Galvanizing (≥45μm) or DACROMET surface treatment is recommended, with regular inspections of the thread engagement.
