Swivel Hoist Ring with Threaded Stud

Precast Concrete Universal Lifting Hardware Product Brochure

1. Product Introduction

The Swivel Hoist Ring with Threaded Stud, also known as Universal Hoist Ring for Precast Construction, is a high-strength lifting hardware engineered for the prefabricated construction industry. Fabricated from high-tensile alloy steel such as Q345D, 40Cr, or 35CrMo, it integrates a swivel eye with 360° rotation and 180° tilt and a knurled threaded stud for enhanced grip, ensuring secure multi-angle lifting of precast concrete components.

When paired with embedded connection sleeves precast in PC elements, this hoist ring enables safe demolding in precast plants, efficient on-site lifting and installation of walls, floors and beams, and multi-directional load transfer including axial, lateral and angular loads to prevent stress concentration.

3. Product Usage Instructions

3.1 Pre-Installation

  • Verify the embedded sleeve in the PC component matches the thread size and depth of the hoist ring’s stud.
  • Clean the thread and sleeve interior to remove debris, rust, or concrete residue.

3.2 Installation

  • Screw the hoist ring’s stud into the embedded sleeve. Use a torque wrench if specified and follow the manufacturer’s torque chart.
  • Ensure the swivel eye is oriented for optimal lifting angle. Avoid lateral loads during initial tightening.

3.3 Lifting Operation

  • Attach lifting slings or chains to the swivel eye and ensure even load distribution.
  • Lift vertically first, then adjust angle utilizing the 360°/180° swivel function for complex positions.
  • Monitor load during lifting. Stay within WLL and avoid sudden jerks or impacts.

3.4 Post-Use Maintenance

  • Inspect for wear including thread damage, swivel bearing play, and surface corrosion.
  • Reapply anti-corrosion coating if galvanizing is damaged.
  • Store in a dry, clean environment and avoid moisture or chemical exposure.

4. Application Scenarios

  • Precast Concrete Plants: Demolding of precast walls, floors, beams, and columns when paired with embedded sleeves.
  • Construction Sites: On-site lifting and installation of precast components such as curtain walls, precast stairs, and balcony modules.
  • Formwork Systems: Temporary lifting of steel, aluminum and wood formwork panels when paired with formwork tie sleeves.
  • Safety & Guardrail Systems: Anchoring point for temporary guardrails or safety harnesses via threaded stud and swivel eye.

5. Safety Precautions

  • Load Limit: Never exceed the Working Load Limit (WLL). Check the rating label before each use.
  • Angle Limit: Avoid loads exceeding 45° from vertical. Lateral loads significantly reduce the WLL.
  • Pre-Use Inspection: Conduct inspection before each use, checking for cracks, deformation, thread damage, or corrosion.
  • Rotation Check: Ensure the swivel bearing moves freely with no jamming before lifting.
  • Personnel Safety: Keep personnel clear of the load path. Use spotters for large and heavy components.
  • Environmental Limits: Do not use in temperatures below -20°C or above 50°C, or in corrosive environments unless specially coated.
