Reinforcement Anchor Plate (RAP)

Precast Concrete Rebar Anchoring Component Product Brochure

1. Product Introduction

The Reinforcement Anchor Plate (RAP) is a high-strength alloy steel component designed for prefabricated construction (PC) industries. It enhances the bond strength and tensile resistance of reinforcing bars (rebars) embedded in concrete, effectively preventing rebar pull-out under load.

In the context of prefabricated building industrialization, RAP is pre-embedded in concrete components such as walls, beams and columns before casting. When connected with threaded sleeves, lifting rings, or formwork tie rods, it ensures structural integrity, facilitates efficient assembly, and improves the overall mechanical performance of precast elements.

3. Installation & Usage Instructions

3.1 Pre-embedding

Position the RAP in the rebar cage of the precast component (wall, beam, etc.) before concrete casting. Ensure the plate is aligned with the rebar’s axis.

3.2 Rebar Connection

Screw the rebar with matching thread into the RAP’s internal thread. Tighten to the specified torque as indicated in the technical datasheet.

3.3 Post-Casting Inspection

After concrete curing, verify the RAP is firmly anchored without displacement and the rebar is fully engaged.

3.4 Secondary Connection

Use the RAP to connect with threaded sleeves, lifting rings, or formwork tie rods for lifting, bracing, or formwork retention purposes.

4. Application Scenarios

  • Prefabricated Concrete Components: Walls, beams, columns, and floor slabs in residential and commercial buildings.
  • Formwork Systems: Tie-rod connections for aluminum, steel and wood formwork to retain formwork during concrete pouring.
  • Lifting & Bracing: Anchorage for lifting rings such as swivel hoist rings and diagonal bracing in precast assembly.
  • Infrastructure: Bridges, tunnels, and industrial facilities requiring high-strength rebar anchorage.

5. Safety Precautions

  • Load Capacity: Never exceed the rated tensile load (WLL) specified in the technical datasheet.
  • Corrosion Prevention: Inspect surface treatment such as galvanizing regularly; re-treat if damaged.
  • Installation Torque: Use calibrated torque wrenches to avoid over-tightening which may damage threads or under-tightening which causes slippage.
  • Compatibility: Ensure thread type and size match the rebar and connecting hardware such as sleeves and rings.
  • Storage: Store in dry, corrosion-free environments; avoid contact with moisture, chemicals, or sharp objects.
