Bay Window Steel Formwork

Precast Concrete Bay Window Molding System Product Brochure

1. Product Introduction

The Bay Window Steel Formwork is a core tooling in the prefabricated construction industry for manufacturing precast bay window components. Manufactured from high-strength structural steel such as Q345B and Q390B via precision welding processes, it requires pre-engineered 3D split design and structural verification based on the bay window geometry, joint details, and finished product precision requirements.

Fabricated through blanking, cutting, welding, and grinding processes, it provides a precise cavity for concrete pouring, ensuring the geometric dimensions, surface quality, and structural performance of precast bay windows meet design specifications. With reusable design, it significantly improves production efficiency and component consistency in precast manufacturing.

3. Product Usage Instructions

  • Formwork Acceptance: After unpacking, inspect panel flatness, weld quality, and integrity of bolts and locating keys. Verify consistency between design drawings and the actual product.
  • Installation & Positioning: Hoist the formwork to the precast production line or casting bed. Secure with locating pins, bolts, and support systems, ensuring levelness ≤2mm/m and perpendicularity ≤3mm/m.
  • Release Agent Application: Uniformly apply specialized concrete release agent, water-based or oil-based, to the cavity surface, avoiding skipped areas or excess accumulation.
  • Reinforcement Cage Installation: Place the bay window reinforcement cage per design drawings, ensuring embedded parts and lifting points accurately align with the mold's locating holes and slots.
  • Concrete Pouring: Pour in layers and vibrate properly. Control concrete slump at 160±20mm. Avoid over-vibration that may cause formwork deformation.
  • Curing & Demolding: Cure at ambient temperature for minimum 12 hours, or apply steam curing per process. Demold slowly after concrete strength reaches ≥75% of design strength. Use stripping tools if necessary.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance: Remove residual concrete and debris after demolding. Inspect welds and panel wear. Touch up paint or replace damaged parts promptly before return to storage.

4. Application Scenarios

  • Prefabricated Residences & Apartments: Production of precast bay window components for standardized and rapid facade construction.
  • Commercial Complexes & Hotels: Large-span and special-shaped bay window molds to meet complex geometries and high-precision requirements.
  • Affordable & Social Housing: Mass production of standardized bay windows to reduce labor costs and material waste.
  • Overseas Prefabricated Projects: Customized molds compliant with Eurocode and ASTM standards to support international project implementation.

5. Safety Precautions

  • Lifting Safety: Use lifting equipment with matching rated capacity. Inspect chains, hooks, and wire ropes before lifting. Establish warning zones around the operation area.
  • Operation Protection: Wear face shields, gloves, and dust masks during welding and grinding operations. Wear safety harnesses for work at height to prevent falls.
  • Electrical Safety: Ensure on-site electrical equipment is properly grounded with intact cables. Avoid open-air electrical work in rainy conditions to prevent electric shock.
  • Formwork Maintenance: Regularly inspect for weld cracks and panel deformation. Never use defective formwork. Store on level supports in dry areas to prevent corrosion.
  • Pouring Safety: Strictly control concrete slump and vibration intensity to prevent formwork overload deformation or concrete segregation.
